2022 Program Chair

Todd Glindeman
Brown and Caldwell, Mining Market Sector Director

Todd Glindeman is the Mining Market Sector Director for Brown and Caldwell (BC) and is based in Boise, Idaho. He has been with BC his entire 21-year career. Todd has been leading and managing large-scale mining compliance and permitting projects in Idaho for more than decade. He works with mining industry partners to develop plans for efficiently addressing regulatory challenges and negotiating the permitting processes. He has more than 20 years of experience in client service, program and project management, and environmental services.

Todd graduated from the University of Idaho with BS and MS degrees in Environmental Science in 1999 and 2006, respectively. He is an active member of the Idaho Mining Association and has participated as a conference planning committee member for the Idaho Mining Conference since its inception in 2018. Todd has also participated in board positions for the Boise Section SME, including serving as the 2018–19 Chair.

Chris Guedes began NEPA permitting full-time in 2013. Prior to working in the NEPA field, Chris worked as a civil engineer as well as in the medical private practice industry in management and consulting. Chris holds BA in Business Management, an MBA, and a BS in Civil Engineering.

Ron Rimelman
NOVAGOLD, VICE PRESIDENT, ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH, SAFETY & SUSTAINABILITY

Mr. Ron Rimelman worked as a consultant to NOVAGOLD for 18 months prior to joining the Company in 2011. He is the Vice President, Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability. With nearly 30 years of environmental experience, Mr. Rimelman has managed environmental impact assessments and permitting activities for mines around the world, with a focus in Alaska and other northern climates. His most recent position was Vice President Environmental Services for Tetra Tech Inc., where he coordinated the natural resources group and took the lead on a range of projects, including preparing environmental impact statements for the Kensington and Red Dog Mines in Alaska. Mr. Rimelman also has extensive experience with mine permitting and water resource analysis, as well as financial and personnel management.
